Penguins continued their Essex Mini League programme at Harlow LeisureZone on Saturday 13th May. Overall the Club finished 4th on the night, but some of the times set by the swimmers were really impressive, there were in total 20 PB’s in the 32 individual events, and some of the improvements were massive and the swimmers should be congratulated for their achievements,
Big PB’s contributed to the Club’s overall position at the end of the night, with 8 time faults which if you put in context, Basildon had 3 but only beat Penguins by 15 points! That said, ultimately PB’s are the name of the game!!
On the night, we scored 11 first places and 11 seconds and perhaps most pleasingly 0 lasts!

Another great team performance from the Club’s swimmers, thanks to Sarah Stringer & Nicola Arnold for managing and coaching the team poolside.
Big thanks to those parents who officiated and those that helped run the event on the night. Me – back to the drawing board for selection, this lot are now too fast!!
