Individually there were some outstanding swims not least from the Club’s 2 winners on the night,
- Max Arnold in the 13/U 100m Free set a new PB of 58.83
- Georgie Pryor in the Open 100m Back, her time of 62.31 was a new PB but unfortunately was 0.01 short of a National Qualifying time.
Georgie got the Club off to a great start in the gala, her time of 2:19.31 in the Open 200IM was a new PB and 2nd place in the opening race. Georgie followed this up with a further PB in the 100m Free, her time of 57.48, gaining another 2nd place.
Making her Arena League debut, Lily Mills produced 2 PB’s on the night in the 11/U 50 m Free 39.17 and the 11/U 50m Fly 46.73. Also hitting new PB’s were Daniel Monk (200IM), Thomas Moody (50m Brst), Glennon Lee (100m Brst), Dmitrijs Gracovs (50m Fly), Ralph Davies (100m Back) and Ethan Peirce (100m Brst).
On the night, the Club recorded seven 2nd places, Alessandro Rioda claimed 2 in the 15/U 100m Fly (59.74) and 100m Free (54.57), and then teamed up with Daniel Monk, Ethan Pierce and Tyler Jackson to claim 2nd in the 15/U 4×50 Free and Medley Relays. A great team performance was also achieved by Man Arnold, William White, Glennon Lee and Maxx To in the 4x50m Medley Relay who were also placed 2nd.
This was an outstanding performance on the night by Penguins, some of the relay splits achieved were huge best times. A repeat performance in the last round in December has the potential to lift Penguins to its highest position in the League for years.
